Memory Management &
Configuring QEMM
(Fine-tuning & Trouble-shooting)
This course combines our Memory Management class with a hands-on
configuration and trouble shooting workshop for QEMM.
The morning lecture session will describe the differences between
conventional, extended, and expanded memory. The process of gaining
memory for applications by relocating device drivers, TSRs and DOS
resources will also be explained. The afternoon session will
combine lecture, demos, and a hands-on lab with the goal of fine-
tuning and trouble shooting typical QEMM installations.
Commonly used QEMM paramaters that help resolve hardware and
software conflicts will be presented. The course will make
extensive use of the Manifest utility to analyze and optimize
memory usage.
To allow maximum personal attention, class size is limited to eight
students. Call for reservations.
Call (213) 314-4280 for details. Ask for Orla Buckley or David
